Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Mădălina-Claudia Dănilă has captivated audiences around the world with her profound musicality, technical mastery, and wide-ranging repertoire. Born in Romania, Mădălina has built an impressive career through triumphs at prestigious international competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Vigo, Spain, and multiple first-place awards at the Charleston 20th Century Music Competition.

In 2024, she was honored with a special prize from legendary violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter at the Ruhr Klavierfestival in Bottrop, Germany—one of Europe’s most prestigious piano festivals—where she was invited to give a solo piano recital as part of the official festival program.

As part of the celebrated Mada & Hugh Piano Duo, Mădălina has performed across the United States and Europe, winning top prizes at both the 2023 Charleston and 2024 London International Competitions. Their performances, known for their expressive depth and unity, have earned them a devoted global following.

She is also a core member of Trio Casals, alongside violinist Timothy Schwarz and cellist Ovidiu Marinescu. The ensemble is renowned for its dynamic performances and innovative programming, performing both classical masterworks and contemporary repertoire with equal commitment and artistry.

Mădălina’s artistic curiosity extends beyond traditional performance. She has a deep affinity for historical instruments and performance practices, and her scholarship includes an ongoing doctoral exploration of George Crumb’s “Makrokosmos” at Temple University, under the guidance of Lambert Orkis and Sara Davis Buechner.

Outside of music, she draws inspiration from her passions for travel, painting, and literature—creative pursuits that enrich and inform her artistic voice. Mădălina-Claudia Dănilă is not only an accomplished international concert pianist but also a bold, multi-dimensional artist whose work continues to resonate with audiences and collaborators worldwide.
